Registering alloy compositions accurate to the gram for fair trade in raw materials

In diagnostics, in addition to the latest laboratory and measuring equipment, experienced staff operating the equipment is of fundamental importance. Especially in the field of raw material extraction companies often work with handheld spectrometers, measuring method that is very inaccurate. The situation becomes particularly critical when the remuneration of recyclable materials is based on this kid of analysis.

In contrast, an analysis based on the boiler analysis is very accurate, but also much more complex. Both the raw materials used and the finished alloys after refining steps are analysed and further processed into semi-finished products. Sampling from the boiler is a key process. The sample is then prepared and analysed in the laboratory. This should be a standard after each process step in order to achieve an accurate, fair and customer-oriented evaluation of the purchased raw materials.
