Unique etching innovation

Etching agents are in high demand in metal construction and in transmission, machine, facility and equipment construction. Especially metal etching pins are an advantage here. Using these, metals such as aluminium, brass, steel and stainless steel can be marked as if writing with a ballpoint pen. The written text is immediately visible and can only be removed mechanically. Also available now is an ink with which titanium surfaces can be inscribed. Developing this etching ink was anything but simple. Various materials can be used for etching titanium and titanium alloys. However, these are highly toxic substances that must not simply be released onto the market. A further challenge is to keep the inscription on materials permanently visible. Moreover, the etching ink applied cannot affect the surrounding area. Comprehensive know-how is required to achieve the best possible etching result with the smallest possible amount of aggressive substances. Of course there are other etching pens for various metals on the market. For example, there is a type of felt pen for marking metals. However, the etching gel pens often do not produce the required black coloration, but only a brown or reddish shade. Moreover, felt-tip pens dry out over time, which is why they have a limited shelf life. However, etching pens equipped with an easily replaceable plastic cartridge do not dry out. Moreover, the cartridges can also be integrated into machine processes. They can be used, for example, to apply robot-controlled markings and automatically label components for machines.
