When developing new systems and machines, developers sometime reach the point where the question comes up, where all the technical solutions are to be integrated. After all, the new development should not only look good, but also stand firmly on its feet with moving axes or integrated robots. At the same time, the footprint should be as small as possible, and control cabinets and wiring should be easily integrated. For service work, however, all areas should be easily accessible. These are difficult questions that can be helped by those, who also have to solve these tasks on a daily basis: the custom machine builders.
The focus should be on a very special group of mechanical engineers: those who have to integrate many different processes, transport heavy PCBs within the machine, install a wide variety of kinematics, are responsible for control and cabling and maintain the systems with their own service staff.
