A newly developed tubular solder with the alloys Sn96.5Ag3Cu0.5 and AOX 755 and the alloy SnCu0.7Ni0.05Ge, better known as Sn100C, is filled with a high-performance flux filler. The new flux system guarantees the best soldering results for both hand soldering and wave soldering up to laser soldering.
The tubular solder can be processed almost splash-free with minimal smoke development and offers excellent residue behaviour without leaving dark discolouration or sticky residues. The halogenide-free high-performance filler was developed especially as a flux filling for the production of lead-free Soft soldering. The filling compound is based on high-purity synthetic resin combined with a hitherto unique synthetic activation complex. Due to this structure, the tubular solder meets even the highest qualitative production requirements.
The 3-core tubular solders have a flux content of only 1.2 %. Nevertheless, the activation effect of the filling compound is more than equal to previous halogenide-containing filling compounds. Part of the development approach was also to reliably avoid hygroscopy of the filling compound itself and thus the crystal growth often associated with halogenide-containing fluxes.
The tubular solders are available in all common diameters from 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.7 mm, 0.8 mm to 1.00 mm.
